The City of Durham will hold elections for Mayor and three at large City Council Seats this fall. On September 26, 2015 from 2-5 pm, MAPAC, in Association with the Jamaat Ibad Ar-Rahman Mosque, will sponsor a Town Hall Meeting for the candidates for these offices. The meeting will be held at the Jamaat Ibad Ar-Rahman Mosque - Parkwood Facility located at 5122 Revere Road in Durham. All Muslim residents of Durham are urged to come. Candidates will be given an opportunity to make prepared statements explaining who they are and why they feel they should be elected, then there will be a refreshment and snack break where the candidates can mingle with the Muslim community members in attendance and hear their views. The social/snack break will be followed by a formal, moderated question and answer session during which time candidates will be asked to answer questions from the audience.
