The Muslim American Public Affairs Council (MAPAC) will present a brief review of the historical roots of Islamophobia, explain how it has taken on an unprecedented level of virulence and describe what the Islamic Community needs to do to control the threat Islamophobia poses. While the present political climate is threatening to Muslims, it also provides opportunities for the Muslim community if it organizes and exterts itself to take advantage of them.
