Town Hall Meeting for Durham/Durham County Elections

On September 24, 2016 from 2-5 pm, The Muslim American Public Affairs Council in Association with the Jamaat Ibad Ar-Rahman Mosque, will sponsor a Town Hall Meeting for the candidates for offices to be elected in November. The meeting will be held at the Jamaat Ibad Ar-Rahman Mosque - Parkwood Facility located at 5122 Revere Road in Durham. Candidates for important State and County offices are expected to attend, and US Congressional candidates or their representatives have also been asked to attend. All Muslim residents of Durham and Durham County are urged to come. Candidates will be given an opportunity to make prepared statements explaining who they are and why they feel they should be elected, then there will be a refreshment and snack break where the candidates can mingle with the Muslim community members in attendance and hear their views. The social/snack break will be followed by a formal, moderated question and answer session during which time candidates will be asked to answer questions from the audience.
