This is a program sponsored by the St. Francis of Assisi Church, a large Roman Catholic Church in Raleigh, aimed at fostering understanding between the Christian and Muslim communities in the Triangle. While not a MAPAC event, this is a significant effort on the part of area Roman Catholics to reach out to the Muslim community, and MAPAC urges the Muslim community to respond. The third part of the program which will be held on October 26, will feature leaders from the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian traditions discussing “mercy” as it is understood in each faith.
